Tension flared in Abuja on Tuesday, November 11, after Nigeria’s Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, was reportedly involved in a heated confrontation with soldiers over a disputed piece of land.
A video currently making rounds on social media captures the dramatic scene, showing Wike’s convoy halted by military personnel who allegedly barred him from accessing the site.
In the footage, the atmosphere quickly turned tense as voices were raised and members of the Minister’s security detail engaged in a verbal exchange with the soldiers on the ground.

“You send soldiers to intimidate who? We are all from this country. If not for the CDS who spoke to me now, you would have to kill everybody here. I’m not one of those that you can intimidate.”
