Civil Defence, Immigration Board Gives Fresh Instruction On Recruitment Exercise

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that the online Computer-Based Test (CBT) for its ongoing recruitment exercise will commence on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.

According to a statement signed by A.M. Jibril, Maj. Gen. (Rtd.), Secretary of the Board, only candidates who have been officially shortlisted and scheduled will be allowed to participate in the test.

The Board urged all candidates to carefully read and comply with examination rules to avoid disqualification, warning that the system has been designed to detect all forms of malpractice, third-party interference, and device manipulation.

The CBT, it noted, will be AI-proctored throughout the session, meaning candidates will be monitored in real time. Applicants are advised to ensure they have a stable internet connection, steady power supply, and preferably a laptop for the test.

While mobile phones and tablets may be used, the Board cautioned that interruptions such as calls or app-switching could trigger violation alerts. Repeated offenses will result in automatic failure.

Candidates are to access the exam through the Board’s official portal — recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — 30 minutes before their scheduled time, complete the photo verification process, and remain in the virtual waiting room until the test begins automatically.

The statement also noted that applicants who get disconnected during the test can rejoin within the allotted time and continue from where they stopped.

“Good luck to all participating applicants,” the statement concluded.
