Alexx Ekubo: Aproko Doctor Reveals Four Silent Signs” Of Cancer (Video)

Nigerian medical doctor and health influencer Aproko Doctor has reacted to reports surrounding the alleged cancer-related death of Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, using the moment to raise awareness about cancer and the importance of early detection.

In a video shared online, the doctor spoke about how many people ignore symptoms until illnesses become severe, stressing the need for regular medical checks and prompt attention to unusual body changes.

While addressing the issue, Aproko Doctor recalled the story of a young man he knew during his school days who was later diagnosed with stage 3 cancer.

According to him, the young man had already begun experiencing serious symptoms before eventually seeking medical help.

He also narrated how people mocked the patient after chemotherapy affected his appearance, leading to hair loss and drastic weight reduction.

The doctor explained that the young man quietly endured severe pain and treatment while many people around him failed to understand what he was going through.

Using the story as an example, he highlighted some warning signs of cancer that people often overlook.

According to him, persistent tiredness, unexplained weight loss, visible physical changes linked to illness, and pain that refuses to go away should never be ignored.

“If this guy had known the signs early enough / that he was always feeling tired, the unexplained weight loss, the pain that would not go away, maybe he would have gone to the hospital sooner,” he said.

In the caption accompanying the video, Aproko Doctor described cancer as a “silent thief” that often gives warning signs before becoming life-threatening.

“It’s hard to wrap our heads around the loss of a light like Alex Ekubo. It’s a reminder that this is a conversation we must continue to have,” he wrote.

“If this video prompts even one person to check a symptom or schedule a screening, then the message has done its job. Please, watch this, and don’t forget to share it with everyone you know.”
