Rt. Hon. Alex Mascot IkwecheghHuman rights advocacy group, the Youth Rights Campaign (YRC), has demanded immediate arrest and prosecution of the House of Representatives member, Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, for brutally assaulting a Bolt driver in Abuja.
The group, in a reaction to the report of how Ikwechegh assaulted the Bolt driver and threatened to “make him disappear from Nigeria” described the Lawmaker as a disgrace.
The YRC, which made the call through its National Secretary, Francis Nwapa, also called for a recall of the lawmaker by his Aba North and South Federal Constituency of Abia State.
Nwapa in a post on X said, “@Alex Ikewechegh Mascot the Abia House of Rep. Member who slapped, arrested a bolt driver for no reason.
“These oppressors at all levels across tribe, religion & gender must be tamed. We demand his arrest, prosecution & recall by constituency. He’s a disgrace & not a resemblance of.”
