ZETSI Africa Launches Students Against Immoralities Club to Tackle Social Vices on Campuses

In a bold move to curb rising social vices across Nigerian tertiary institutions, the Zero Tolerance for Social Immoralities Initiative (ZETSI) Africa has unveiled the Students Against Immoralities Club (SAI-Club).

The pioneering campus-based movement will be formally inaugurated on August 27, 2025, during the Leadership Conference 3.0, holding from August 26–28 at the University of Abuja and National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja.

With the theme “Exploring the Tools of Leadership to Curb the Rising Tide of Social Vices Among Nigerian Students,” the three-day conference will host over 1,000 student and youth leaders from across Nigeria and Africa, equipping them with skills for ethical leadership and institutional reform.

The SAI-Club is designed as a peer-led reform platform, with pioneer executives across campuses expected to lead targeted campaigns against cultism, drug abuse, sexual harassment, cybercrime, examination malpractice, and other vices threatening academic environments.

To strengthen its impact, the club will operate under the SAI Campus Charter & Action Guide, in structured partnership with national institutions and law enforcement agencies including the EFCC, NDLEA, JAMB, and the Nigerian Police Force. It will also provide avenues for moral reorientation, leadership development, and student-institutional collaboration.

Speaking on the initiative, Amb. Ibrahim Abdulrazak Imam, Chairperson of ZETSI Africa, described the project as a movement of hope:

ZETSI Africa has called on stakeholders, institutions, and development partners to support the SAI-Club in sustaining its transformational agenda.
