Former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello last weekend married a fourth wife, Hiqma Yahaya-Bello, in a quiet ceremony held in Abuja.
The wedding took place on Saturday in the Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory and was attended only by close family and a few friends.
There was no publicity or celebration around the event, keeping it simple and private.
His third wife, Hafiza Yahaya-Bello, confirmed the marriage in a post on Instagram. She expressed her joy, saying, “Alhamdulillah, our family just got a little bigger and more loving! A warm welcome to our new family member, Mrs. Hiqma Yahaya Bello! May Allah bless our union and fill our home with love, peace, and Barakah. Amin.”
Hiqma now joins Bello’s other wives: Amina Oyiza, his first wife; Rasheedat, the second; and Hafiza, the third, who was often seen in public during his time as Governor.
Bello served as Governor from 2016 to 2024 following which he handed over to his chosen successor, Alhaji Usman Ododo.
