Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State was on Sunday the subject of attack on social media from supporters of Peter Obi after the Anambra Governor said that any politician who promises to serve one term should be sent to a psychiatric hospital.
MJConcept TV News reports that Soludo spoke during a campaign rally when he tried to debunk the promise of some of his rivals from Anambra South who claimed that they would do only one term in order not to disrupt the zoning pattern in the State.
Though he initially referenced his rivals, Soludo subsequently said that “indeed any politician anywhere who promises to serve one term should be sent to a psychiatric hospital.”
Though Soludo did not refer to Obi, many on social media were quick to reference the 2023 Labour Party Presidential candidate’s promise to serve only one term as President if elected in 2027.
The Obidient community and their supporters immediately joined the fray with acerbic attacks on Soludo as many of them claimed that the Anambra Governor was indirectly hitting at Obi with his one term psychiatric comment.
