Nigeria Defeat Ghana for First Time Since 2006

Nigeria’s Super Eagles emerged victorious over their fierce rivals, Ghana’s Black Stars, in a highly anticipated international friendly dubbed the “Jollof War” showdown.

The Super Eagles secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over the Black Stars, with the match showcasing thrilling football action from start to finish.

Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers opened the scoring for the Super Eagles with a well-taken penalty, setting the tone for an intense battle on the pitch.

Despite Ghana’s resilience, Nigeria extended their lead with a goal from super-sub Ademola Lookman, who made a significant impact after coming off the bench.

Lookman’s goal further solidified Nigeria’s dominance in the match, putting them in a commanding position after a beautiful build-up play for Finidi George’s men.

However, Ghana’s Black Stars refused to go down without a fight, as they managed to pull one back late in the game.

Jordan Ayew capitalized on a penalty opportunity, after a poor foul from Bright Osayi-Samuel, converting from 12 yards to give his team a glimmer of hope in the dying moments of the match.
