AY pulling the chair for May
The Nigerian sub-set of social media is this morning on overdrive with imaginations of two of the country’s most adoring celebrities Ayo Mayokun popularly known as AY and May Edochie supposedly dating.
The spark to the speculation came from the sighting of the two celebrities going out on a dinner to celebrate their joint film project, Dinner On Third Mainland.
MJConcept TV News reports that the speculation of the two celebrities being romantically linked is, however, not new. A Sierra Leonan based Nigerian content creator had in January raised the far-fetched allegation that AY fathered some of May Edochie’s children, an allegation that got the comedian fired up with legal threats that forced the content creator to come forward with profuse apologies.
He at that time said that he did it to trend and acquire followers.
MJConcept TV News reports that the claim came before AY and his wife, Mabel announced their separation in April 2024.
Meanwhile, May Edochie has been trending since her estranged husband acquired fellow movie actor, Judy Austin as a second wife about three years ago.
On Thursday night the clip of AY and May Edochie arriving for dinner and holding hands stirred romantic emotions. It was further captivated with the clip of AY pulling the chair for May Edochie to sit down. Tongues are now wagging over the intentions of the two. Was the Sierra Leonan content creator prophetic, many have asked overnight as the video went viral.
