Married Woman Who Faked Kidnap Found In Hotel With Lover (Video)

A married woman who was reported kidnapped in Edo State has been found in a hotel in Delta State with another man after Police uncovered what they described as a staged abduction.

The incident, which initially sparked concern among family members and members of the public, was reported to have occurred in the Ikpoba Hill area of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State. Relatives had raised an alarm and appealed for assistance after kidnappers allegedly demanded a ransom that reportedly dropped from N50 million to N20 million.

However, investigations by the Edo State Police Command revealed that the kidnapping was not genuine.

According to a source familiar with the investigation, Police tracked a phone number linked to the case to a hotel in Ubiaroko, Delta State, where the woman, identified as Oluchi, was discovered in the company of a man believed to be her lover.

The source said, “Police traced the number of the man to a hotel in Ubiaroko, Delta State. They met the man and the kidnapped woman inside a hotel. They called the husband, and he was happy. It was at the station that the Police broke the news to him. The wife begged the husband not to tell her children what actually transpired.”

The latest development comes as the Edo State Police Command announced the arrest of four persons linked to the alleged fake kidnapping plot.

Police spokesperson, Eno Ikoedem, said the suspects had confessed to their roles in the incident. He also disclosed that a rifle allegedly used in making a video connected to the case had been recovered.

“The entire cyndicate have been caught, they have all confessed to this crime and the riffle which was used in that video has also been recovered. Edo Police Command have arrested one Mrs. Emmanuel Uzebor popularly know on social media as “AZA woman” and she will be arranging at the Court”

Police said investigations into the matter have been concluded and those involved will face prosecution.
