A member representing Surulere II Federal Constituency of Lagos State, Lanre Okunola, has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the House of Representatives following the party’s primary election in the constituency.
Okunola emerged unopposed after APC delegates and members across the political wards in Surulere II Federal Constituency unanimously endorsed his candidacy during the exercise.
The primary election, which was described as peaceful and orderly, witnessed a large turnout of party members, stakeholders and supporters who participated in the affirmation process across the constituency.
Party faithful said Okunola’s emergence reflected the confidence reposed in his leadership, political experience and commitment to grassroots development.
Speaking after the exercise, party leaders described his emergence as a victory for continuity, progressive governance and effective representation, expressing optimism that his experience would further strengthen representation for the people of Surulere II at the national level.
