This meeting comes just hours after Atiku publicly stated that he would personally visit Amaechi and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen to appeal to them to join his 2027 Presidential bid under the ADC platform.
The visit is being viewed by many as a strategic move by Atiku to mend fences and build a stronger coalition, especially after reports of dissatisfaction from some quarters following the ADC Presidential Primary. Amaechi had been rumoured to be unhappy with how the Primary played out.
As 2027 politics continues to gather momentum, this face-to-face meeting between the two political heavyweights is generating plenty of discussion online, with many speculating on possible alliances or power-sharing arrangements in the opposition camp.
