For empowerment, 200 sewing machines, 150 grinding machines, 50 hair dryers, and 100 generators were distributed to women and small-scale entrepreneurs. Fifty new motorcycles were also given to commercial riders to improve rural mobility.
Speaking on his legislative role, Akinlayo revealed that he sponsored a bill for a School of Nursing in Ikosu Ekiti, currently at second reading, and pushed for the creation of a School of Agriculture in Otun Ekiti, which has reached third reading. He also moved motions on naira abuse, funding of the Public Complaints Commission, and prevention of torture during investigations.
The lawmaker assured his constituents that the remaining two years of his mandate would focus on further electrification, agricultural expansion, scholarships, skills acquisition for youths, school infrastructure upgrades, and market women empowerment.
Akinlayo expressed gratitude to Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, Deputy Governor Monisade Afuye, party leaders, and his constituents for their support, pledging to continue to serve with “diligence, honesty, and passion.”
