Outrage As Vigilantes Assault, Strip Female NYSC Member Naked (Video)

A disturbing video has emerged showing members of the Agunechemba Vigilante Group, also known as Operation Udo Ga-Achi, assaulting a female NYSC corps member and her colleagues in Anambra State.

The footage was shared online by the Haven 360 Foundation.

The video, released on Monday, identified the victim as Jennifer Edema Elohor. Armed vigilantes were seen beating her and stripping her naked, despite her repeated pleas and showing her NYSC identity card.

According to the Haven 360 Foundation, the corps members were falsely accused of internet fraud and subjected to brutal physical abuse and sexually degrading threats. The foundation said, “We strongly condemn the brutal assault and violation of rights of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members by operatives of Operation Udo Ga-Achi or ‘Agunechemba Vigilante Group’ in Anambra State.”

The foundation added, “On July 23, 2025, these state actors stormed the corpers’ lodge, accusing the members of being ‘Yahoo people’, despite their prompt production of NYSC identification cards and uniforms. The assault was particularly egregious in the case of Jennifer Edema Elohor, who was beaten, stripped naked, and left exposed and covered in blood. The victims were subjected to unsavoury, horrible, sexually degrading words and actions, including threats of sexual violation.”

The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with users condemning the actions and calling for justice. @atority_DeFi tweeted, “@officialnyscng Kindly confirm she is a member, nevertheless this harassment on women and stripping them naked is barbaric. The police should do the needful. Thanx for blurring the female face and her body.”

@Benefit43928872 wrote, “I don’t care what she did. I condemn this in totality. Every woman deserves to be respected. The Nigeria police should do something about this.”

@Allezamani appealed, “@PoliceNG Please do something about these barbarism.”

@El_Virtuoso7 commented, “There’s this belief in radical and unconventional approach to issues…Bakassi, Mkpochapu, OPC, ESN, SARS etc. Basically because the masses distrust the government. Govt needs to earn the trust of the people and constitution should be a priority at early education.”

@imrana_usman01 added, “Group of mannerless people, even if she did not provide her identity, let’s assume she is Yahoo as they claimed, what is the essence of the beating stripping her naked? We are condemning our corrupt leaders but doing worse.”

@BayoOlupohunda said, “This is the height of barbarism. I am outraged and just lost for words to describe this level of barbarity. Look at the number of men attack an unarmed lady begging for mercy.”

@Ozorife wrote, “I thought Soludo is a professor. How can he recruit id!ots in the name of vigilante? No consequence for abuse of power.”

@OnunakuDr added, “They all need to be promptly arrested and locked up. This vigilante group may need to be disbanded like the one in Ebonyi.”

@KenEhi7 said, “These ediots need to be in jail, this is very bad. Why stripping her naked, don’t they have women in their family?”

@AfapeP29176 noted, “First I heard the name Elohor which means she is an Urhobo girl from Delta State. I want Delta State government should follow up on this because our sister can’t be beaten like this by those Igbo men and we sit back to watch…”

@OlufemiOlu79443 commented, “This is what happens when Government appoints illiterate touts/glorified criminals as security operatives. They are brutal, destitute of legal implications and totally ignorant of their limits. These people must be arrested and prosecuted.”

The viral footage and online reactions have put pressure on authorities to investigate the incident and ensure justice for Jennifer Edema Elohor and other corps members affected.
