The House of Representatives on Tuesday adjourned legislative activities to mourn late Hon. Isah Dogonyaro, Member representing Babura/Garki Federal Constituency of Jigawa State.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas announced the adjournment.
Hon. Abbas noted that the late Hon. Isa Dogonyaro was a detribalized patriot who was very jovial as much as he was an intellectual.
In this moment of grief, the Speaker said their thoughts and prayers are with his family, constituents, colleagues, and the people of Jigawa State and prayed for strength and comfort for all who mourn his passing
Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and other Lawmakers who attended the session observed a minute silence in honour of the late Lawmaker who died at age 46.
Speaking with Parliamentary Correspondents on the late Jigawa Lawmaker, Mohammed Shehu (APC-Kano) described the late Hon. Dogonyaro as a vibrant young man with passion for his family, Constituents, Northern Nigeria and Nigeria at large.
Recalled that, Hon. Dogonyaro passed away after a brief illness, today, Friday, May 10, 2024, in Abuja, at the age of 46.
He was a pillar in the House, contributing significantly to the development of legislation, particularly in the area of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria Control, where he served as the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee.
