Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, is expected to receive High Chief Government Oweizidei Thomas Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, as the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement inaugurates its Ondo State structure on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
The event, scheduled for 12 noon at Democracy Park, Akure, will also feature the distribution of campaign vehicles and materials ahead of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
The Southwest Coordinator of the movement, Comrade Orisamoluwa Adekunle, disclosed this in a statement, inviting members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), party stakeholders and supporters of the President to attend the ceremony.
Adekunle said the inauguration was part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and expand the movement’s presence across Ondo State ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
He described the exercise as a demonstration of the movement’s commitment to President Tinubu’s leadership and its vision for Nigeria.
“The inauguration symbolises our collective commitment to the vision of a prosperous and united Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
The coordinator explained that the distribution of campaign vehicles and materials would support voter engagement and help communicate the administration’s achievements and future plans.
He added that direct engagement with residents would remain central to the movement’s mobilisation strategy, particularly in reaching eligible voters and encouraging participation in the electoral process.
According to him, the event will bring together party leaders and grassroots mobilisers to discuss strategies for expanding the movement’s reach and coordinating its activities ahead of the election.
Adekunle urged APC members and supporters of Tinubu to attend the inauguration, describing it as an opportunity to demonstrate support for the President’s second-term ambition.
He expressed optimism that the initiative would strengthen the movement’s grassroots network and improve coordination of its activities across Ondo State.
“Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria,” he said
