Arsenal End 22-Year Wait For Premiership Title

Arsenal F.C. have finally ended their 22-year wait for Premier League glory after Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth on Tuesday.

MJConcept TV News reports that City needed victory to keep the title race alive until the final day, but Bournemouth refused to bend, extending their remarkable unbeaten run to 17 league matches. That run has also secured European football for the Cherries for the first time in their history.

For Arsenal, it was the end of years of frustration. After finishing second for three consecutive seasons, Mikel Arteta’s side have at last crossed the line, ending a six-year trophy drought and delivering the Club’s first league title since the famous 2003/04 Invincibles campaign.

The Gunners had moved to the brink of the title on Monday with a narrow 1-0 win over already relegated Burnley, a result that took them five points clear of City and placed the pressure firmly on Pep Guardiola’s men.

Although Arsenal’s win was far from convincing, it proved enough as City failed to do their own job 24 hours later.

Arteta’s men, who set the pace for most of the season, responded strongly after losing to City last month, winning four straight league matches without conceding.

City’s collapse came amid reports that Guardiola could leave at the end of the season after a decade in charge.
