The leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Youth Movement has congratulated former Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatai Ahmed, on his appointment as Chairman of the Presidential Electoral Committee of the Party.
The congratulatory message was conveyed during a joint press briefing held in Abuja by the National Coordinator of the Movement, Umar Abdulrahman Etudaye, alongside the National Secretary, Yakubu Nurudeen Yahaya.
According to the Movement, the appointment reflects the confidence reposed in Ahmed’s integrity, leadership capacity, and longstanding commitment to democratic values, transparency, justice, and internal party credibility.
The group further praised the former Governor for his dedication to the rule of law, accountability, and democratic governance, noting that his achievements and leadership style during his tenure in Kwara State continue to distinguish him as a statesman and advocate of responsible leadership.
The ADC National Youth Movement stated that Ahmed’s wealth of experience and proven track record made him a fitting choice for the strategic assignment, expressing confidence that the Presidential Electoral Committee under his leadership would ensure fairness, transparency, and credibility in the discharge of its responsibilities.
The Movement also wished him a successful tenure and prayed for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance as he undertakes the assignment. The statement was jointly signed by Umar Abdulrahman Etudaye and Yakubu Nurudeen Yahaya on behalf of the African Democratic Congress National Youth Movement.
