The academic community of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), formerly Kogi State University, Anyigba, has been thrown into mourning following the shocking death of one of its lecturers, Dr. Olabode Abimbola Ibikunle, under controversial circumstances.
According to reports circulating on social media, the male lecturer allegedly died in a hotel room during an intimate encounter with a 200-level female student of the institution. The incident, said to have occurred during a private meeting at an undisclosed hotel in Anyigba.

Sources claim that the lecturer died in the heat of the moment while engaging in what has been described as “active bedroom service” with the female student. The yet-to-be-named student has reportedly been arrested and is currently in police custody as investigations into the incident continue.

While the department of the lecturer and student have not been officially confirmed, images showing the face of the lecturer have surfaced online.
Authorities from both the University and the Nigeria Police are yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
