Notorious terrorists including Bello Turji’s son have been eliminated by troops of Operation Fansan Yamma, reports MJConcept TV News.
This was achieved during a coordinated operation between troops of Operation Fansan Yamma and the air component conducted along Shinkafi, Kagara, Fakai, Moriki, Maiwa and Chindo axis.
The Defence Director Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba in a statement made available to reporters in Abuja said, “the operation killed scores of terrorists including notorious terrorist leader, Bello Turji’s son on Fakai high ground where the terrorist was hiding.”
Continuing, General Buba stated that, “the intensity of troops fire power resulted in high terrorists casualties and their logistics hub destroyed. The operations also resulted in the rescue of several kidnapped hostages held captive by Bello TURJI. The terrorists leader, Bello Turji, in a cowardly act, escaped abandoning his son and combatants.”
He also disclosed that troops destroyed another terrorist kingpin camp known as Idi Mallam along Zango Kagara Forest. “During the encounter, troops neutralized 3 terrorists, and arrested collaborators.”
According to him, troops recovered two machine guns, one AK47 rifle with a magazine containing 11 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.
“Troops are sustaining the onslaught against the terrorists. Overall, troops continue to demonstrate commitment to the safety and protection of all citizens across the country.”
