FCT FA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee Suspends Two Board Members Akintunde, Ngozi

FCT FA sledge hammer has descended on two erring members of its Board, Babatunde Akintade Nelson and Ezeh Ngozi Victoria for alleged misconduct.

A statement from the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee states that Babatunde was suspended indefinitely from all football activities within FCT for allegedly inciting, verbal assault, physical assault and the recruitment of thugs to undermine the electoral processes in the Territory.

According to the statement, Ngozi was suspended for allegedly granting a malicious, misleading and an inciting interview on a national radio station on the 29th of November 2024 against the persons of the FCT FA Secretary and Chairman as well as against the offices of the FCT FA.

Secretary of the Committee, Jimmy Kadiri ESQ said in the statement that the suspended members were duly invited to present their side of the story, but declined.

“The Committee sent out letters of invitation to BABATUNDE Akintunde NELSON and to EZEH NGOZI VICTORIA to appear before it to make their presentation on the allegations against them. However, they both failed to appear without any formal communication to the committee excusing their absence,” Jimmy Kadiri said in the statement.

Subsequently, Babatunde was suspended indefinitely from all football activities within the FCT for incitement, verbal assault, physical assault and the recruitment of thugs to undermine the electoral processes while Ngozi was suspended indefinitely from all football activities within the FCT for granting a malicious, misleading and an inciting interview on a national radio station on the 29th of November 2024 against the persons of the FCT FA SECRETARY and CHAIRMAN as well as against the offices of the FCT FA.

“The suspensions shall be communicated to all affiliate bodies within the FCT and the Respondents shall have a right of appeal to the FCT FA Appeal Committee,” Jimmy Kadiri said in the statement.
