Bill to Establish Federal College of Animal Husbandry Scaled Second Reading in House of Representatives

The House of Representatives has passed to Second Reading a Bill for an Act to establish Federal College of Animal Husbandry, Hon. Kaoje, Kebbi State, and for Related matters.

The sponsor of the Bill, Bello Kaoje, described Animal Husbandry as critical to the Government’s quest for diversification of the economy, source of revenue, revenue creation as well as food security.

Hon. Kaoje said that when the Institution comes on Board, it would serve as a centre for research and innovation on animal production to the Northwest as well as boost food production in the country.
